While I see how helpful this could be, I had planned on storing our youngest's kilt for grandchildren. I wouldn't mind lending it out to someone local, I guess.
Also, a boy's kilt isn't such a difficult investment. Since children tend to grow tall faster than they do wide, hems are allowed in their kilts. And with the straps & buckles, there is quite a bit of growth room for the waist. So you get to amoritize the cost over several years.
We obtained Jared's kilt from Scotland via a private seller in Scotland (Ebay). It even came with a wee Argyll jacket, which, alas, doesn't have the same kind of growth allowance to it.
