The Happiest I've Been In A Kilt

So I'm at the big conference for a week. My umpteenth years and my fourth year kilted. Still I'm getting the usual comments - routine ones we all get.

Tonight, after dinner, I get stopped by a couple. She is in a beautiful white beaded wedding dress. He in a sharp looking jacobite shirt and slacks. They are from Loch Loman Scotland and were just married here in Tucson this afternoon. They were so thrilled to see a man in a kilt. We talked for some time. What clans, where my ancestors were from. They were so polite and expressed gratitude at seeing a kilted man - as if it were an omen for their marriage far from home.

Did I mention they were in their 70s? And, most obviously deeply in love.

    A good day for sure!

That's really great. You helped to make somebody's wedding day that much more special.

Still has me thinking this morning....ya know...good things seem to happen when we kilt up and sallie forth.

This board is full of little stories like this that would have never happened if we'd worn panz that day.
