HE ALMOST GOT KILT! (& that's no bull...)

This photo accompanied a foxnews.com photo essay about the bull run in Pampolona, Spain. You might say this guy was "head over heels" for the bull run.

And I'm guessing this bull is not a fan of kilts...

I hate to think what would've happened if the guy had worn one of the red tartans...

Wow. I agree, I would have hated to see what might have happened if he was wearing a MacPhee Tartan, or one that is highly dominant in the red color. Any word on how badly this guy was hurt?

Bulls are colorblind, the color of the cape the matador uses is traditional, not functional.

I ran with the bulls when I was a young sailor. It was terrifying. As a friend of mine put it, what really happened was that I ran from the bulls. This guy is lucky he didn't get gored, or trampled.

I imagine nine out of ten shots in that series are not fit to print. Everything just 'fell in place' for that photo.
.. the kilt had concealed a blaster strapped to one thigh and a knife to the other. He was aware of the present gentle customs against personal weapons, but he felt naked without them. Such customs were nonsense anyhow, foolishment from old women - there was no such thing as "dangerous weapons," only dangerous people.

I was going to say the same thing, that is not something I would attempt but it takes all kinds I suppose. He is very lucky, at least he'll have something to remember Spain by.

Remember the other thread where the newbie asked what can we do in a kilt? Bull running is not on my list.

Just goes to show that it CAN be done in a kilt. Whether or not it SHOULD be done in a kilt is another matter.
