Here I go--off to Scotland kilted for 2 weeks
Well I leave in a couple hours for nearly two weeks in Scotland attending an international professional meeting in Edinburgh where I have to make an oral presentation to a large crowd. Taking nothing but kilts (well, one pair of jeans for the plane trip each way), all four of them, plus two jacket waistcoat sets. Get to dress up for all four days of the meeting with the jackets, etc.., then do some touring of parts of the rest of the country more casually (mostly Fife and Aberdeenshire). Even get to take in the remnants of the Forrester clan ancestral manse, Corstorphine Castle, which will only be a couple miles from where we stay in the western suburbs of Edinburgh. Unfortunately no time to sneak in a round of golf on the Old Course---another time perhaps.
Pictures will be taken, whiskey will be tasted, and good fun will be had. Pictorial narrative to follow in a couple weeks. Then you can all critique (laugh at) how I dress for the trip. Talk to all when I get back.
