I was looking at the site for the upcoming Texas Scottish Festival (Arlington), and noticed this:

BREAKING NEWS!

The Texas State Legislature has officially recognized June 2007 as
Scottish Heritage Month!
Citing the Texas Scottish Festival and Highland Games as one of the largest Heritage Festivals in the Nation, House Resolution 1517 then lists the achievments of many Scots and their contributions to Texas history.

"...the Texas Scottish Festival & Highland Games provide a fitting opportunity to salute their myriad contributions; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 80th Texas Legislature hereby recognize June 2007 as Scottish Heritage Month and extend to all who work to preserve the best of the Scottish legacy in Texas sincere appreciation and best wishes."
