"Hit on" and possible new kilter

Today I was picking up grandfather movements in a town about one hour away. Both happened to be elderly ladies, the first didn't say anything, but the second one did. She was in a wheel chair, wore a wig (sorry, I could tell) and she kept saying how nice I looked and how nice the kilt was. She said there have been weddings where the bride and groom have been led in by men in kilts and bagpipe music. She did say, "Your socks need help, they aren't very attractive." I had on my black UK Survival and black kilt hose with a good three finger width below my knees. But I thanked her for the compliment.

Just now the UPS guy came to deliver a package, noooo not a kilt. But I had mine still on, (why would I change?) and he said, "Oh, you have your kilt on! Did you wear it at a festival?"

I replied, "No, I don't do festivals, but I wear it for comfort."
UPS guy, "Ohhhh, do you have underwear on? OH don't tell me, I don't want to know. Did you see Brave Heart? The guy had on a kilt and asked his new bride if he should do a hand stand for her."
DALE. "Let me just say that I am very comfortable."
UPS guy, "OK, don't tell me, I don't want to know."
DALE. "An older lady even hit on me today!"
UPS guy, "Hmmmm, that is what I need. So you wear it a lot?"
DALE. "All the time, today I had it on all day and....(I told him the places I had been.)"
UPS guy, "Hmmmm, I might have to get one. You say the ladies like it? Well as long as no guys hit on me."

I proceeded to tell him where they were made, and that they come in brown. He kept hmmming and saying that he wouldn't wear one, but then would change his mind and say that he might, and then I showed him the name of the kilt, but forgot to give him a card for the website. Next time if he didn't find the web site, I will give him a card.

He kept looking at the kilt while walking back to the truck, and then when he got in the truck he looked a few more times and drove off. I bet I know what he is thinking about and hope he doesn't miss any deliveries because his mind is thinking FREEDOM.

    DALE.

The chocolate brown Utilikilts Workman's would be perfect for UPS drivers.
