    Homeward bound

We are making our long journey home after our patrol and should make port before Christmas. I am anxious to see what Santa has waiting for me under the tree. My lovely wife has made many references to kilts over the last few months, many of which would be deleted from this site by those that watch for such indiscretions. So, I hope to live some of those alluding references to what a man might do with a kilt and his freedom, so to speak. Regardless, it has been a pleasure to have found you all at this site; you have fueled my constitiution to brave the world kilted.
Merry Christmas to you all and to all a good kilt.
    Best Regards,

Coming home? Wonderful! Coming home to a lovely wife? Even more better! Coming home to a lovely wife at Christmas time? Better still! Coming home to a lovely wife at Christmas time who's been dropping kilt hints? That's what it's all about, right there!

(Figured you might enjoy a good sea shanty about coming home. BTW, Canadian folk singer Stan Rogers does an excellent job of singing it).

I won't attempt any of the sea shanties I know, the Mods would delete most of them. I can only say that the voyage home is always longer than the voyage outbound.

I wish you and your wife well, and a joyous reunion. (There is a reason most of my older kids have birthdays in December and January. My ship would usually get in sometime mid-March to mid-April.
