How do you wear your hipsters?

I know that the rule of thumb on where the sporran should be when wearing a traditional kilt is about four fingers below the buckle, but what about a hipster/casual kilt? Do you follow the same guidelines, or do you wear a little closer to the belt line?

All my modern kilts have pockets, so I don't wear a sporran with them.

You can wear your sporran still you may have to adjust it to have it sit comfortably.
I make the kilts I wear for myself in the hipster style because I have a belly and low waisted and I don't have any problem have the sporran sit properly.
