How to fix a crappy day.

Yesterday was just one of those days. My toddler didn't want to go to pre-school, was yelling in the car and traffic just plain sucked.

I exchanged a broken carpet steamer for a newer one that I had intended to put together the next day (today). But when I got home, the dog had thrown up on her bed and the carpet, so I spent the next couple hours putting the steamer to good use. (The dog bed was a complete loss!)

By then it was time to pick up my daughter from pre-school. More bad traffic on the way home and I was fighting a tremendous stress headache.

But what was that waiting for me at the front door?

    My new SWK Blackwatch Standard!

    Pretty good day after all...

(Pictures after I pick up a new kilt belt).

Ah yes, nothing like a good tartan tonic for a great pick-me-up!

Nice. I'm hoping a new kilt belt, expected any day, now, will help the lousy week I'm having. A chance to wear it to the Capitol District Scottish Games on Saturday would help, too.

Congrats on the new kilt, man.

I have two new Utilikilts that just arrived but I'm ignoring them. Isn't that terrible of me?

They were delivered yesterday and are waiting for me in the apartment complex office.

If I want them now I would have to drive home at lunch in pants, grab them, and then quickly drive back to work.

However, I will wait until Saturday morning and stroll in there wearing an Olive Green Utilikilt and get them then. I have enough kilts now so I'm not in a hurry.

These two are a tan twill original and a tan cordoroy original.

Now all my kilts have arrived. I have 12 of them. That's all I will ever need in life.

I have originals in all three colors now:

tan - used for long walks at night and long drives in the sun (two of these)
black - used for Friday night shopping mall kilt walks
olive - used for Saturday afternoon shopping mall kilt walks

my Mockers are mostly used for church.

The tan cordoroy can be for long desert walks at night in the winter. :-)

There's nothing like a new kilt to relieve stress.

We need to report pbpersson to the SPCK, he's neglecting 2 kilts.

Armageddon was yesterday. Today we have real problem.

Funny you should mention that -
Last week my shipment from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society arrived, so I've got a grand, cask-strength single malt to toast the kilt with!
