I can't see some pics in forum

I have tried to look at some pics in the forums and they are "X'ed" out. I have a late model computer but could this be a firewall/security issue?
I really want to see the pics that go with the comments. I am a newbie here and I thought I was computer savy (not pro) enough to fix this on my own.

    Please help

When I'm at work I can't view the pictures either. I think it has something to do with the fact that the site that hosts the image is blocked by the company firewall.

Unless you have administrative rights to your network, you may not be able to do anything about it.

    Good luck!

Could you post a link to a thread or post that is giving you problems?

Try hitting refresh. I use Firefox and on rare occasions a pic won't load.

If it is an older thread, the photo may have been removed by the poster from photobucket or whatever site is hosting the photo.

Have you fixed the problem yet? It could be your browser settings. Let us know how things turn out.

For the record, I host all the pix I put up using imageshack.us If your company firewall or the security settings on your PC is preventing imageshack images from showing, you'd definitely know it -- they'd all be blocked.

Thanks for the link, I see all the photos in that thread, what browser are you using? Are you at home or work? Have you looked at your settings?

Hamish's images are quite large. I dragged the first one from the link you posted on to my desktop, got info on it and it weighed in at a hefty 626K. Do you have an image load size limit set on your browser? Just a thought.
