I converted one more.

A close friend of mine had a birthday recently. Knowing he's pretty open minded I bought him a thrifty from SWK. It didn't fit so I sent it back for a different size. I just recieved it a few days ago and dropped it off to his place last night along with one of those generic 3 tassel sporrans (he's got to have something to put his truck keys and booze in).

He thanked me and seemed seriously excited to have himself a kilt. He wrapped it around to make certain it fit then reached for his scissors to start taking the basting out. Of course I told him about this forum as well.

It was really cool to see someone I know personally who has an interest in wearing a kilt and is excited about it.

Outstanding! I have a few friends that are interested but haven't taken the plunge yet. Maybe I'll have to do the same thing and get them one as a gift to set them off and running.

I like the idea of the strong push into the kilted world. You could tell people about it all day, but you went the extra mile and got him a kilt to wear. Good on ya!
