    I did a job today...

... and in the middle of it, all I could think was it's a good thing I'm not wearing a kilt.

I was taking tobacco out of the barn to get ready to strip the leaves off the stalk. Taking it out of the barn is a job that requires one to climb up into the rafters of a barn, and then standing with legs about 3-4' apart on the rafters, while handing down sticks full of tobacco stalks down to others looking up to you for the sticks.

And in the middle of it, all I could think was it's a good thing I'm not wearing a kilt.

Those are some pretty closely-spaced rafters. Three to four feet apart maybe?

I've been there, only putting it up after cutting and spiking. Hahaha...you're right, it would probably be best for the rafter guys not to be kilted.

Just proves, that there are some things that should not be done in a kilt.

Seems to me that that would be an ideal time to be wearing one. But I'm just that way.
