This weekend my family and I went to see Spamalot in Las Vegas. While I as in line at the concessions stand, one of the ushers, who had already chatted me up about my kilt, approached me and said that there were some gentlemen who would like to meet me. She proceeded to introduce me to three guys from Scotland on holiday. They were very polite and friendly. They told me that they had gone out in their kilts the previous night, and they said that they were very pleased to see a man wearing a kilt, and very impressed to see a man wearing a kilt right.

That really made my weekend.

Living in a tourist town it seems my kilts are a magnet for touring Scots...especially Utilikilts...they want to know what it is and where to get one. I think UK has a great untapped market in Scotland.

But, I've yet to get such a high compliment as you have. That's certainly good for a "Get out of jail free" card to use with the kilt police.

When a kilt cop zooms in you can stop him immediately, stand a bit taller and tell him to forget it, you've been cleared by Scotsmen.

That's awesome! It's nice to see the respect and admiration we put into kilts be affirmed by the very people who's national dress we're aspiring to wear.

I cannot explain to anyone,I just don't have the skill with words I suppose.The sense of pride I get from seeing a well worn kilt, as I have done in many parts of the world,it is for me simply priceless.Well done laddie.
