After hauling it out of bed observe the Eastern horizon. Does it appear that the sun is about to appear? If so, it is a good day to wear a kilt. If not, it is still a good day to wear a kilt.

Funny, my good friend at work, from the rock, uses the same test to determine if it is a good beer day.
