I surrender
So I got a contemporary kilt. Yes, me the traditionalist. I found a green Amerikilt on eBay and got it for about $75...
The only reason I got it is because I needed something to play rugby/go gardening in. So don't think this will be a common occurance!
Either way, I'll be sure to post a photo for you guys as soon as I can.

Match it up with an Hawaiian shirt and you'll wonder why it took you so long to see the light!

Congratulations on your find!

For many years, I wore the kilt only traditionally. Wear it with boots? Nope. Wear it without sporran, full hose and flashes? Never. Then I bought a Freedom Kilt "just for kicking around in". Now, I enjoy a full range of kiltwearing, from traditional to sandals. So you just never know .

Rugby-Gardening; is that League or Union rules?
Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders I yet have heard, it seems to me most strange that men should fear; seeing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come. --William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

I think it might be a sort of Zen Rugby - like the normal game of Go, but played on a much bigger board, with beer/cider and hand gestures.
