I bought kilts for my boys, then wound up with one that was really too big and couldn't send it back, as I had taken out the pleat basting trying to convince myself that it would fit. So I stashed it in my closet, and I waited......

Ern took some great shots of the boys at the Scottish Games in Virginia, and Husband thought they looked very handsome. Later, a friend of mine invited us to the Renaissance Faire in Maryland, but we didn't have any Renn stuff to wear He's been watching me work on a new outfit for myself for a couple of weeks now.

I found some Ghillie shirts at Heritage of Scotland, and bought one for each boy, the big one and the small (well, not so small anymore) two. The shirts came this week - they're awesome! So, I guess my excitement has rubbed off on Husband because he willingly tried on his shirt, said he liked it, and asked me when we are going!!!!

Now that I have a shirt and hose for it, and I put it in a special bag, he put it in his closet!

My son and I will be kilted tomorrow 10/14 at the Maryland Renaissance Faire, just tell him everyone has to meet some rabble there, should be nice weather!

OK, it's a go! We have planned to go to the Maryland Renn Faire on Sunday. He said he was going to wear jeans & sneakers, so I said "OK, wear what you're comfortable wearing." ( I was super dissapointed, but I have no right to force him to wear the kilt.) So then he says just kidding, and that he would wear the kilt because I went to so much trouble getting everything for it!!!!

Sad news, he chickened out at the last minute, and didn't want to go So I went with 1 of our 2 sons-who proudly wore his kilt! We had a great time. Pics to follow....I was naughty, and bought some stuff..
