    ID a Chief

Can anyone tell me who this chief is? I'm too lazy to pour over tartan books, and I can't quite make out his crest!

Odd, I would have thought somebody here could identify this tartan.

Thought the tartan was Campbell green at first but after further review and noticing the white stripe I think it is Campbell of Loudon Ancient. Anybody else got any guesses?

Interesting cut on his jacket. No cutaway.

Nice color matching on the jacket though.

On further thought I was trying to figure out why he was wearing maroon hose til I looked closer and saw a red stripe or two in the tartan, so my guess of Campbell of Loudon is wrong, although it could be a Campbell of Argyll of one sort or another.

That looks close to me except that I'm not seeing the yellow stripe.

Edit: And I missed the red stripe.

And I'm already on eBay, looking for a jacket to send to vmac3205 for an identical conversion. That's very interesting.

It kind of looks like the Wilson’s of Bannockburn Hunting MacRae.. I might be out a black thin strip though.. the badge looks kind of like the MacRae badge, except I am not sure they have a chief right now?

The tartan looks to be the Semphill tartan. Could that possibly be Lord Jamie Semphill? I've only met him once a few years ago, so I'm not positive on the ID. I do like his jacket, though!
