    If I had

    Hell-o all,

If I had 100 Kilts, would that be enough?

In practical reasoning it would be too much.

In my own reality I would need more.

Oh what am I to do?

    1-800-KILT-ANON?

Really, I think it's a function of closet space. Calculate the total dimension of all your closets. Divide by the volume of one kilt to get your maximum kilt capacity. Subtract by (the number of jackets you have to own + (5 * shirts on hangers)). Finally, call the contractor to provide you with an estimate for converting your spare bedroom into a storage room.

    Regards,
    Rex.

I sure don't know how many kilts would be Too Many.

My modest collection which is approaching 40, seems to give me enough options. My ideal would be to have enough kilts to allow any day enough options to go to any function or activity -with time for the kilts to rest in between.

Several kilts at each level is what I am going for.
    7 to 20 tanks
    7 to 20 high-end casuals
    20 to 40 low-end causals

That should be about right....... Oh Barbara, Kathy, Wally, Matt, Steve, Jerry - ready for another check?

My name is Trefor and I am a Kiltoholic.

Seriously though, what is enough will vary from individual to individual and I am seriously trying to "cut down." The more you have the more the problem of choice of which to wear and the less frequency of wearing. With 24 kilts I already have to remind myself that I haven't worn this one or that one in a while!

Storage space and budgets will also be determining factors. Trouble is the Jonesing list never seems to get any shorter!

    You are all seriously disturbed!

100 kilts X $500 (approx) = $50,000 not including sporrans, ghillies etc. ouch!

My question would be did you own 100 pairs of trousers before you wore kilts? If you didn't why do you need 100 kilts? And if you did well then you were seriously disturbed then and I can't help you now.
Disclaimer - I have been tried and convicted as a "Kilt Snob" so please be aware any statement I make may be biased towards tradition and good taste. LOL

Hmmm... Good original question. For me, more than twenty & less than five hundred. I foresee a need to dress for the weather & situation.
