    Wow, that is unique! I don't know that I want to shake hands with a goat everytime I want to use my knife though. It ought to get some strange looks sticking up out of your kilt hose!
    If men were meant to wear skirts they'd be called kilts!

    It's far more likely a deer foot, and it is a traditional european haft for a hunting knife. Usually germanic, but not always. A tremendous number of these things and similar were made for export to the US in the early part of the 20th century. The hair usually falls out, leaving them less than attractive, in the end.
