    J. Higgins Casual

I noticed where J. Higgins has a 5 yard casual kilt in PV. I was wondering if any of the rabble has purchased one of these, and what your thoughts might be. I'm interested in getting one. Thanks!

I have 3 kilts made by John in wool not PV and am very happy with the fix.

I have a 5 yard wool and I am very pleased with it. I got it in 1996 and it still looks new.

I've beat the bejesus out of my band kilt (parades, games, gigs...sweat, booze, yard sleeping) from Higgins and it looks just like the day it arrived.

For the price, it is worth a shot...Let us know (although, you have me tempted - if they had a tartan on my list - it would be a "done deal")

Just got a reply from John...seems as though they have one, in stock, in my exact size. The tartan is navy Stewart. I wanted, either, the Scottish National or Robertson red modern. The Robertson is out of stock at the mill in Scotland, and they do have the Scottish National, but that means a bit of a wait. So, I've decided on the Stewart. I guess I'll have to do some pics and a review when I do the deal.
