    Jones Extension

I finally cracked and mailed the company making my kilt today for an update on how things were going. I almost wish I hadn't.

Seems the someone at the mill cocked up and loaded the wrong colour onto the loom, meaning the tartan came off incorrect and they only noticed after the run had been completed. They are now making more tartan "with priority" and the kilt maker will prioritise the making of my kilt when she receives it. It still means a delay of a few weeks when I was hoping it could be shipped any day.

    Bummer.

    !
I thought about that and wasn't at all ashamed...

...but it's an interesting excuse as to why they haven't sent your kilt...I'm sure that they'll expedite it to make up for the inconvenience.

There are far worse things in the world to be upset about I guess. I just hope there are no more delays.

Update: The mill still hasn't dispatched the tartan and promises to send it out "early next week" with my kilt maker promising to have it made in a day or two (she claims to literally have a kilt maker on stand by) and send it out UPS so it is possible it will arrive for me leaving Japan to go home (19 December) but I am highly doubtful.
