The Jones is over! or starting, or whatever.

    Dear All,

I just learned what jonesing was and realized I was doing that, over two pairs of kilt hose, that just arrived!

So What are you jonesing about, or will be, or have just finished?

    Your Obedient Servant,

    Karl

I have a bit of the R'yleh sett but haven't Done much with it except admire it. I have hopes and plans for it, but not sure if they will come to fruition.

I have also been pondering contacting a hobbyist here and inquiring about having a sporran purse made (as I am a woman), as I admire his work...

But it's all just planning here. For now.
For me, there is nothing in this world that holds the same fascinating appeal as watching the backside of well kilted man...

Not currently jonesing, unless you count biding my time til my next dram of fine malt whisky.

Pre-jonesing as I am preparing today to pull the trigger on an order for another tweed jacket and waistcoat.

    Otherwise jones-free.

I am looking for some nice hose as well. No jones yet, but working on it.

Patiently awaiting the arrival of an 8yd pv kilt in MacLeod of Harris. Burning up the web in search of just the right hose and garter. The finger is hovering over the pay now button for a Mackie bonnet. It's getting bad here.

I hardly know where to start. Found some very nice PV kiltmaking practice tartan material for $12.50/metre at a Canadian online store. After that, a wool Lindsay tank.

Still need several items to complete my outfit(s). All itemized, priced and linked in an Excel file.

Again, thanks to all contributors here for feeding my disease.

Ummm, I'm patiently (well not really) awaiting some new hose I ordered from the UK. I also found a wonderful wool blazer (in a dark green) that I took to the tailor yesterday to be "modified". Did I mention I bought it at a thrift store for 50 cents!

Finally, I took my SWK Irish National into the same tailor to have it hemmed. I'd been wearing it a good 2-3 inches above my naval... And I just am not going to be able to wear waistcoats and sweaters this spring.

So, the "new" fittings should be ready next Monday!

I try to curb my youthful exuberance for this sort of thing. My wife already thinks I'm out of control... If you believe HER version of the story, nary a week goes by without the doorbell ringing with some delivery or other. Believe me, it's not nearly as bad as she makes it out to be.

But I must say, living way out here in the far east makes it somewhat necessary to shop online for most things, even the non-kilt-related. The Lilliputians of Japan aren't exactly swimming in size 10 mens' footwear or 42L jackets...

But as for the question at hand, I am expecting two new kilts very, very soon. In addition, a kilt pin and belt buckle shall also arrive quickly, I expect. I shan't divulge anymore forthwith, lest I ruin the surprise. Do keep tabs on the photo thread, though. Piccies will assuredly ensue.

Argyll vest, two pairs of hose, two sets of flashes and buttons. I also had a dress sporran ordered but found out that was out of stock and other items have been on back order so I've waiting for about 3 weeks.
