    Just a comment from jr.

Not really a topic for discussion - just a couple of nice comments from the offspring...

Sebastian (7) was today enquiring about getting another kilt in addition to his Royal Stuart. His reasoning being "it is unfair that you have two".

I told him I'd get him another kilt, and told hi that I have two because I wear mine more often than he does, especially to work. Sebastian then says it is a pity it is not permitted to wear kilts at school. I proceeded to tell him that is not the case (his response was something like "well, I never asked anybody about that").

I don't know how brave he will be, but he is certainly tougher than I was at his age.

Also, it is so nice to know that kids can wear kilts to school if they wish (a national standard)

That's neat to hear. That kid has a lot more self confidence than I had at his age, presuming I would have even been into kilts at that age. Good on him!

That's great, Porrick. I hope Sebastian goes for it. I visited Norway in 1969 and was impressed by the beauty of the place and the friendliness of the people.

Good for him I hope it works out in his favour.

What a great kid (and a pretty good Dad, too)!

BTW: If you are buying kilts for your kids, I am up for adoption.

Ah, lucky you and lucky Sebastian. The kilt-climate isn't as friendly, everywhere here in the USA.
