    Just moved in

I just moved into my dormitory room at the University. I have been wearing my Sport Kilt the whole time, since it's so dang hot in Southern California. I have a double occupancy room, but I do not have a roommate. I'm double majoring in Liberal Arts and Computer Science.

I have received only positive comments, and my RA said something along the lines of how cool it was that I had the guts to wear it. Other comments like "Nice kilt!" and such have followed me throughout the day.

Here's a picture that I took with my MacBook:

Congratulations and good luck with school. That's awesome that you don't have to share the room. I couldn't really see the kilt that good in the picture, but either way i'm glad to hear you're getting good responses.

Good luck with school, glad it's going well so far. I lightened up your picture a bit hope you don't mind:

Don't sweat the room mate. With liberal arts and computer science you are well equipped to start a fight in an empty room. No room mate required.

Good on you for kilting on campus.

    Thanks a lot.

McMurdo, thanks for lightening up the pic. I don't have photoshop installed yet, or my digital camera (one item on a long list of what to get from home next time I swing by), so I'm limited to what my laptop can get.

Yes, I'll probably have to fight myself at some point. I like to engage myself in Socratic dialogues, so I generally end up feeling irritated at myself for nitpicking at my beliefs. Can't I leave me alone for once? Jeez…

My majors are chosen because I a) want to be a priest; and b) don't want to starve.

If anyone's wondering, that large green and gold picture on the right is a hand-written Byzantine style icon of St Kevin of Glendalough, my name saint. My dad commissioned it a while ago as a gift.

Well, classes start tomorrow, and I'm going to try to make a good impression, so I'll wear my wool kilt (Saffron SWK heavyweight). Wish me luck!
