Obama's just lucky they decided to keep marching past instead of taking it by force.

Wouldn't that be an awesome sight, a classic highlander charge on the white house?

For as long as I can remember (going back to Ike's second inaugural) pipe bands have featured in Inauguration Day parades.

I had the privilege of playing pipes on the white house steps it was awesome.
My pipe band was host band at police week in D.C. 3 times and that was part of the drill to play on the steps.

Didn't something like that happen around 1812? I seem to recall the White House being burnt down by some Scots........or possible a parcel of Royal Marines. Can't quite recall.
