Kids Draw The Funniest Kilted Things
So my grans are down in Tucson and I got to see them last week amid the post-divorce chaos. My 11yo grandson looks like a clone of me at his age. Spooky for sure, but also hopeful. My 8yo grandaughter of course is beautiful. We haven't seen each other in about a year so their growth was evident.
My grandaughter brought me a present. A drawing of me she did from memory. Very touching.

She got the long hair but didn't remember the beard. Probably because its so white now. She mixed up a purse with a sporran but obviously knew I carried some sort of purse. She got the tartan - I'm guessing my Cameron Black and Red. And she knew I wear Z Coils but couldn't recall where the springs went.
What is so touching is the effort - what she remembered but wasn't used to that she threw in. And of course them butterflys for love....
So hey guys, anyone else have kids draw you up in a kilt?? Show me!

Cool picture, she really captured your essence from the Kilt to the Z-coils.

I read this via RSS feed on my Blackberry and it doesn't show the author. I knew who it was as soon as I saw the picture. It's fabulous Ron.

That is so very sweet, Ron.
Diane and I are going to start trying for our first next year but our niece Aaliyah did remember me after almost a year when she saw a picture of me without being prompted.
She's not even 2 yet but she saw the picture and said 'That's Arlen! I remember him!'
I like to think it's because of the Kilt.
So... is that picture framed yet?
