    Kids Kilt

I know that several of you have purchased kilts for kids. What source would you recommend for a first kilt for a child of 4 or 5 years of age? My sister is interested in purchasing a kilt for her son, but doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a kilt for someone so young for obvious reasons. Thanks for all your help.

I bought my son his first kilt from Stillwater. It looks great, and was inexpensive. I know we're all a bunch of SWK worshippers here, but we have good reason.

Spend the extra coin and call Pete at www.canadiancasualkilts.com It wasn't expensive at all considering Pete left room for the kilt to be let out (in the waist and in length) to accommodate for growth in the next few years.
    The kilts are :
    - Machine washable
    - made in teflon coated stain resistant PV
    - Pete makes them with room to adjust for growth
    - extremely well made
    - come with pleats like this

    and this

and you get to deal with a great guy (yes you Pete).

I highly recommend his kid kilts and the kids love them!!!!

I got my 2 boys Blackwatch from The Frugal Corner http://www.thefrugalcorner.com/kids.htm

They like them, and very inexpensive.

Rocky at USA Kilts will also make children's kilts. I have been impressed with how durable my son's Mcleod of Lewis kilt has proven.
