Kilt adjustment around Santa Cruz, CA?

A bandmate of mine needs his kilt let out a bit. (He got it when he was 15!) Any recommendations on a kiltmaker or experienced hand either in Santa Cruz County or the South Bay (of San Francisco) near San Jose?

How much does he need it let out? Somethings he can do and some he will need a kiltmaker to do it correctly.

I think it's just a few inches. It's not like he went from 28" to 44", I'm guessing it's from 28" to 34" or so. I'm sure the kilt had a "growth range" sewn in when it was made.

Agreed, I bet there are a number of us who would like to meet her! Doing a Google for kiltmaker Janet McConnell does not come up with much?

6" seems like a bit much to just move the straps (which means that this is likely to be more of a major alteration than a minor one). If the original kiltmaker was clever, and added a hidden pleat of extra fabric to the left hand apron edge, then the alteration should be quite possible.
