You are the best dressed guy...and the cheerleaders are the best dressed ladies...

I'm positive you and your mates earned a day off.

The F-15's will do a flyover from time to time during the games. I guess it's their way of trying to keep us interested in the Jag's.

Funny you should mention that. The second week of July I took a bifurcated vacation to North Carolina. Now, by bifurcated I don't mean that I wore pants, just that the vacation was split up into two parts. Only the first part is relevant here.

A guy that was in my first squad when I was a newly minted squad leader is still in the Corps, and I went down to Camp Lejeune to see him. As a staff dog (aka, 'gone over to the enemy') he lives out in town, and I was kilted the entire time. I took my SK Leatherneck for lounging around his house, my USAK 13 ounce Leatherneck for showin' off, and my Pittsburgh Kilts desert digital kilt for base visits.

It was odd to be surrounded by Marines again, and odder still to be kilted. I got a lot of supportive comments, and a number of spit-takes.

Whenever anyone actually asked about the kilt, I said I was testing it out for the uniform board for potential adoption. Some people thought it was a great idea, and some people fell for the joke.

Ha!
