    Kilt Clearance Sale

Just in case anyone was interested, Clansman Knitwear is having a kilt clearance sale. Here is the link:

    http://www.scottishclansman.com/Readymade.html

I noticed they had two in the New York City tartan if anyone was looking for that.

Don't forget to check these guys out too. This is where Casey and Rufus recently got "tanks" for cheap. For example, the have a 10oz Dress MacLeod for $150 cdn.

I don't mean to throw a wet towel on all of the fun, and I won't rehash all of my fun with Clansman Knitwear.

I'll just point you to this Clansman Knitwear and leave you with the old warning "Let the buyer beware"

I've never bought anything from Clansman Knitwear so I can't comment personally. But I know that the reason I've never considered giving them business is that I've heard so many horror stories.

I recently bought 3 yards of material from them. I had no problems with purchase/delivery.

But I haven't heard these horror stories.

Not going to say a word. Okay, I will say one thing, Clansman Knitwear is the reason I got involved with this board, so I do thank them for that at least.

I'll second that. The kilt I have was purchase thru them and while good(note I did not say excellent) it took much longer to arrive than was indicated. I had several promises that it was shipping/had shipped/was enroute etc but the bottom line is that it arrived after I left for the Long's Peak Scottish/Irish Festivle. They were there and he checked on it. Told me it arrived at 5, we had left the house at 5:30 and it wasn't there. Never getting anything from them again.

I won't deny that many have had an issue with them in the past, but I've dealt with them and have not experienced the same problems. Perhaps I should count myself among the blessed.

The BBB report says it all, I suppose. But you can't deny the nice prices and the quality of the workmanship. Since I can literally drive over and knock on the door if need be, I will probably continue buying their ready-mades.
    Cheers!
