Scotweb has the Lewis kilt hose in tartan red. Or these, with fancier cuffs. This is the tartan red:

Country socks in brick red & also red with loden tops. You can see this color in some of Riverkilt's photos; it's a bit darker red.

Other Highland outfitters in the UK or continent will probably offer them as well.
I tried to see whether Ebay seller "wbsocks" has red ones, but did not find any...

The Scottish Tartans Museum has Lewis kilt hose in 18 different colors, 3 of which are red variations.

I have a pair or two of Lewis hose from STM and can attest to the quality. I also like to wear red hose on occasion.

I have these and like them, though I haven't worn or washed them yet. The same seller has some great argyles, too. http://cgi.ebay.com/MENS-WOOL-KNEE-H...item518cc2a7bb

Under 8 pounds a pair, but you'll want to buy more to save on shipping.

    I like the Lewis hose.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
