If you are fortunate enough to have your own small private plane that you can fly in on your own (you do have your own private plane, right?), you can fly right into the Macon County airport, only minutes away from downtown Franklin.
| Can the local airport accommodate a zeppelin?

*Sigh* Well, I'll be available that week; like most teachers, school bus drivers get the summer off. However, when I told my wife about it she said no. Something about cost of transportation and accomodations and such.
If this is going to be an annual thing in Franklin, North Carolina, then I may have to start planning in advance for 2009.
Or maybe a Texas Kilt Kamp? (He said hopefully....)

Hmmm, the week before Father's Day - Drive or fly (if my friend doesn't need his plane that week) down Sunday
- Go to kilt-Kamp
- Attend Ceilidh of Friday Night
- Stay for part of Saturday's Festival
- Drive or fly home Saturday afternoon
- Get home in time for Father's Day
Of course this depends on my wife's work schedule, which of course I won't know until after the cut-off or when it's all sold out which ever comes first.
So matt two questions: - Where is there to stay in your neck of the woods and what kind of cost?
- If I purchase Kilt-Kamp now and then can't go, and assuming you sell-out, can I resell to someone else, or return it to you so you can sell it to someone else? If you don't sell-out I wouldn't expect a refund.

| 1. There are a few hotels, plus plenty of B&Bs in the area, with pretty reasonable rates. There is a link on the Kilt Kamp page to the Franklin Chamber of Commerce, where you can get more info. Here's a link directly to the Accomodations Info Page.
2. If someone were to register and then later have to cancal, your registration fee would gladly be refunded in full, so long as it was before the May 31 cut-off date. After May 31, if you wanted to transfer your registation to some else, that will be fine, just so long as we know (the person would still have to have cloth, etc....)

That's the one week of June that I will not be on the road traveling between Las Vegas and Miami for my job. I really have to be home that week to keep my lovely wife happy, she is putting up with me traveling quite a bit this year. Taipei, Madrid, Taipei, Miami (2-4 times), Las Vegas (2 times) and Taipei at a third time. Each trip at least one week, sometimes two.
Well, maybe next year.

I so much want to come and meet y'all.
Darn the responsibilities that come with a full time job. I am relatively new to the company, so there is not much vacation time accumulated. Maybe, if you all email my boss...

| | | I want to go
I will be on medical leave so I have the time.
Question is do I have the money, and accommodations will be the main issue.
Anyone want to share a room with a non-smoker/non-drinker?
Will there be accomodations at or near the site of the camp? Heck, for this I'll take my sleeping bag and take floor space....
