    Kilt No.58

A few weeks ago, whilst the Highland Granite grey tartan was being discussed, I posted a photo of the new grey tartan from Geoffrey (Tailor) of Edinburgh and explained that I'd been given the chance of having the first kilt to be tailored in it. Well, I collected that kilt from Howie on Saturday and it is amazing!

It is a true 'traditional' 8 yard kilt with the 2" rise; is in 16oz purest woollen tartan and I requested that it be pleated to the stripe.

Here are a few of the first photos I have managed to take of it:

I think you'll agree that the pleating is particularly effective, and beautifully executed.

Way to work the camera there, Hamish! The tartan is excellent, and the pleating is even better!

    Thanks for sharing!

That is one amazing looking kilt. Ham, you always manage to make me so envious. :-P My tongue has dropped to the floor. I want a kilt like that!

It is so well done. Of course, you've also finished off the outfit perfectly.

By the way, where do you get your kilt socks? I want to get some new ones and I like yours.

Waaaahhhhh! I want one! What a beautiful tartan, and what could be more appropriate in a traditional corporate environment? The mind boggles at the number of shirts and hose that could be coordinated with that kilt. Ham, any idea when they will be producing it for the public?

I really like that tartan. I imagined it, pleated to the sett, after you first told us about it, but it's really striking when pleated to the stripe.

Thanks for the pics, Hamish. Congrats on the kilt.
