    Kilt No.64 has arrived!

At the weekend, I was presented with Kilt No.64 as a totally unexpected 70th Birthday gift. It is a 6 yarder tailored in an unusual fine-denim fabric, and is brown with a yellow/gold pinstripe running through it.

Unfortunately, I am still unable to do anything with my photos - resizing, cropping, colour adjustment, etc. - but I thought you might be interested to have a look at a couple of raw photos straight from the camera. The colour registration is almost spot-on in the first image.

The first shows the kilt worn casually (and no, it is not split to the waist - that's the double fringe!), and in the second I am wearing it dressed a little more formally with a brown tweed Argyll and brown woollen tie:

Another great looking kilt Ham! And what a great surprise present! Now, how does someone secretly measure you for a kilt!

You don't want to know, Rob! You really do not want to know!

On the other hand, maybe the measurements were already available!!

I am really not at liberty to mention the donor by name, Alex, but if you do a little detective work............

    Hamish

I am not a great fan of some non-traditional fabric and kilts, but I must say...your new kilt looks superb.
May you have good health to wear and enjoy it.
    Regards
    Jim
