Kilt with Petroglyphs and Dinos
Last weekend we went to San Juan County Utah. We saw Petroglyphs along the shore of the San Juan River.

Here's a very weathered image that archaeologists say is a wooly mammoth-which means the art is over 10,000 years old!

Then on to the Dinosaur museum, here with a Tarbosaurus skeleton. Note the even-larger Deinocherus limbs grabbing at the tail of the big carnivore!

Next was Huck's Anasazi Museum, and here I am with the owner and his incredible wall of ancient axe heads.

And the last stop of the day is the Edge of the Cedars State Park, here going into a Pueblo kiva.

I couldn't ask for much more fun in a day!

Ah, the Ancient Ones. Very good.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I will have to getthe kids up there. Slightly cooler than Tucson right now!
