Kilt Places in Toronto and area

I'll be going to Ontario tomorrow and am wondering if there's any places out there that y'all wold recomend I go to look for kilts and/or kilt accesories?

I'll be flying into Hamilton and (probably) staying in St. Catharines for most of the time. I've been promised a trip into Toronto (at some point) so if there's any places I should go to please let me know!

Some Guinness spilt on the barroom floor.
When the pub was closed for the night, a wee brown mouse crawled out of his hole and sat in the pale moonlight.
He lapped the foamy froth from off the floor and back on his haunches he sat,
and all night long you could hear him roar "Bring on the Goddamn cat!"

See if you are around for the SOKS kilt night on the 12th and touch base with some of those guys if you are interested.

If you feel like the drive to Barrie, you could check out Brunett's at Struth.

I bought my Argyll jacket at Cairngorm Scottish Imports (these folks used to be part of Hector Russell until they sold off the North American stores) in Toronto. I found them to be VERY knowledgeable and helpful. They also have a nice selection of clothing and accessories. It's just south of the 401 and a bit west of the Don Valley Parkway. Their website is http://www.kiltscanada.com .

McMurdo also knows of a shop in Toronto that he likes. Maybe he'll chime in here.

Chiming in here, Cairngorm Scottish Imports indeed know what they are talking about, this is where we got our outfits for m brothers wedding before I had all of it myself. However for selection and friendly customer service Ihave found none better than the Scottish Company, at 1989 Leslie Street, just south of the 401, they are the shop that I had make my Isle of Skye District Tartan, and they are a pleasure to deal with, here is their website:

There are so many pubs around here as well, it would be wonderful if you could be in Toronto for the night of the 12th, as we are having another kilt night, this one will be at Finn MacCools pub on King Street, here is the thread where we discuss it:

If you need any other info while you are up here, don't hesitate to get in touch, I will PM you my cell phone number I always have it on.

Sweet! Thanks for all the info!!!

I'm not sure if I'll make it out for kilt night (in Ontario for a funeral) but I will see what I can do.

    Thanks again!

Give us a phone and perhaps some of can meet. I'm just outside of St. Catharines, and LK-13 lives there.

Hey all! Thanks for all your help. I was tied up with familly stuff for the most part and couldn't get away for long. We were staying in Thorold (at lock 7) with frequent trips to St. Catharines and Niagara. My Girl and I didn't even make it in to Toronto until Monday and that was spent trying to get around! I had no idea Toronto was so big! We had six shops we wanted to see and only got to one because of the distance that we had to travel (had to rely on the TTC). Crazy!

Maybe next time I'm out there I'll be able to hang out a bit onger so as to meet some of y'all.

    Thanks again for the info!
