KIlt sighting at Celtic Woman-Louisville, Was it you?
I was casually kilted for the Celtic Woman concert here in Louisville on Saturday night, 4/3. On the way in I sighted another kiltie wearing the full out PC with bow tie and a heavyweight appearing high pleat count Black Watch kilt, sauntering in to the concert. Long grey hair, I think maybe a beard (I was looking more at the kilt), medium build and kinda short, with a lovely lady on his arm. He was in full form and looking good. Was it one of the Rabble? I did not get a chance to stroll over for a kiltie meet up, and then lost sight of the guy and never saw him the rest of the night.

Wasn't me, but I wish I had been there.
It was at the Palace, wasn't it? That's a beautiful hall.

My first time seeing Celtic Woman other than on TV specials. Also my first time in the Palace Theater----absolutely gorgeous place for a concert.

Tweren't I. I can't place the gentleman by your description, but then, I don't know every kilt owner in town (yet). Wasn't a member of the Louisville Pipe Band, for sure. (Lotsa gray hair in the band, even on some of us young(er) folk, but no long gray hair.)

I saw them for the first time also at the Palace about a year (two?) ago. The Palace is amazing, as were the Women.

I really hope you find the other kiltie, but while we're waiting...
How long did you stand in the lobby identifying the faces on the ceiling? I was there for about an hour, and then saw "The Maltese Falcon" 8 or 9 years ago.

Although we weren't late we were pushing it for time so headed straight to our seats, shich is why I did not chase down the other kiltie to make a connection. As such we did not look up at all, and the same on the way out. Next time will have to spend more time enjoying the theater itself.
By the way, Celtic Woman hired a world class international competition winning piper for their show, but only used him in parts of three songs, Amazing Grace being the most striking. I think his name was Anthony Burns---supposedly has played for popes and presidents, etc..., but unfortunately was sorely underused in this show. Afterward, however he was outside the theater on the street playing away like a street busker, except of course no hat out for donations. Could not recognize his tartan, but it was not burns. We stayed and listened for about 15 minutes while the crowds dissipated.
