Kilted at the Movies

Tonight I went to see the movie 300, and I wore my utilikit. I have worn the kilt to this movie theater before, but tonight seemed more tense. Maybe because I am always with my wife, and tonight I was with some friends for a manly night. The giggles seemed louder, and the finger pointing more obvious. Gasps, sounds of awe and amazement. I did get two smiles from some cute ladies, and that just averaged it all out, then again, maybe they saw the asp batton in my kilt pocket and were impressed. I thought about wearing the tartan, but for a manly movie like 300, I thought the canvas with converse tactical boots would be a better look.

Somewhat confused - the implication is that the tartan is not "manly" enough for a movie like 300.

Yeah... Tartans are manly. I actually prefer tartans to solid colors.

I just saw 300 last night. With the exception of the always needless nude scene, the movie was, in my opinion, an awesome guy movie. I can't imagine my wife liking it, but I loved it.

yea the movie was amazing and it stuck primarily to the written account of the battle of themopolea although in the real battle leonias wa killed and a fight insued for the body with the spartans and persians going back and forth killing eachother. I give the movie two thumbs up

I hope my admonition was not taken the wrong way. If we are ultimately to change our Saxon society's view of kilts, we must be careful with our words. Just a reminder, we must speak clearly and be sure we are understood.
