Kilted New Year's Eve?

So who else is going kilted to celebrate the New Year? I think some friends of mine are celebrating at our local Celtic pub along with my fiance' and I. I'm excited because they have already said I'm *expected to wear my kilt for the evening! YES!

Headed to a friend's home for a formal dress New Years Eve party. Going to wear my Pride of New Zealand box pleat, PC, Ferguson Britt skunk sporran, black hose and ghillie brogues!

My dance studio is having a New Year's Eve party. It's a ticketed event and participants are expected to dress up, so I'm going formal and that means my kilt. Heck, I've even been learning to tie a bow tie so I don't have to wear those cheater pre-tied ones anymore.

I'm still having a hard time picturing doing some of the latin dances in a kilt, but what the heck. I just have to make sure I don't turn too fast.

I'm taking the family to The Hard Rock Cafe @ S.F. Fisherman's Warf Rockin' New Year's Eve. My son and I will be kilted. Dress code on the announcement is semi-dress. Do you think the kilt would be too dressy?

I myself will not be able to go kilted for New Year's this year as my shift schedule puts me working the 31st and 1st. Such as life, take care and hope you all have a great New Year's.

And I would venture to say there are far more here who do not wear their kilts "full time." So, I think it's a more than fair question.

Shouldn't this be a case of who ISN'T going to be kilted?

Mothballed kilts are being aired all over the world by those who only wear them occasionally

And we X Markers need nae special reason as it is!
