Red face Kilted in the ROK (South Korea)

I finally made it to South Korea, Osan Air Base. It's been a long week, but at least I wore my kilt to make things a little less monotonous.

So I went out the other day looking for a light jacket (as the airlines had lost my baggage) due to the weather being a bit cooler than anticipated. I wore my mocha Survival Utilikilt. Not a big deal in a populated area of South Korea, right?

Things were going well, the only people who stared actually asked if I was Scottish, which surprised me at how many people were accurate with the attire's traditional geographic origin. After being stopped a few times by curious Koreans, I finally found a little shop with jackets for decent prices. This is where it gets funny... or weird, however you want to put it.

I walk in, and the young Korean lady who ran the shop asked "Why you wear a skirt? I mean, what's the word... kilt?" I gave her the quick "it's just more comfortable and fits my personality" schpeil. She then proceeded to ask *DUN DUN DUN* the question. But not in just the way you would expect...

    "Are you... wearing... panty?!"

All she got was "the look". She bowed gracefully and said "I'm so sorry, bad question, of course you don't!"

I just thought it was a humorous encounter I'd share with you.

    LoL!

Here, next time someone asks, you can use one of my "stock" answers:

Am I wearing underwear? For ₩10,000 I will tell you. For ₩21,000 I will show you. For ₩¥54,000 you can find out for yourself.

If you're lucky, you'll earn yourself enough for a round of beers with your mates!
