    Kilted at Weight Watchers

My Lady and I go to a Weight Watchers every Sunday morning. We both have a bit more flesh than we should, and are doing something about it. I have been relectant to wear a kilt to the meeting, primarily because kilts weigh a good bit more than shorts, and would make it look like I had not lost the weight. Yesterday, knowing I had a good week in weight loss, I decided to wear my SWK Black Watch thrifty kilt, since it is fairly light. I did still show a loss, and best of all, I heard from the back of the room "Well he certainly has the legs for it!" Great for the ego!

That is great news, good luck and continued success on your weight loss.

Congrats on the weight loss and the good comment. Perhaps you can weigh yourself in kilt and out at home so you can know the difference or find a way to weigh your kilts- too much alliteration sorry!

As somebody who has shed 20kg (44 lbs) and a kilt that had shrunk in the closet now fits, keep it up, and reap the rewards. (I am down to 3 Rx drugs from the 9 I was on before!) congratulations

My hat's off to you and your lady and I'm reminded of the quote found on my homepage: True nobility lies not in being superior to another person but in being superior to one's previous self.

    Congrats on the weight loss!

I'm sure the comment from the back of the room added even more to the accomplishment.

I'm also in Weight Watchers, but I'm not going to wear a kilt to my weigh in. I have shorts that weigh next to nothing. I've lost 39.8 lbs so far. My goal weight is 192 lbs. So I've still got a way to go. Best of luck on reaching your goal.

Congrats on the weight loss; that's not an easy task in our culture today.

It's too late now, but it sounds like you should've worn the kilt for the initial weigh in; the weight of the kilt would've just been factored in from the start that weigh, I mean, way.

Its a bit easier after you "reach goal" as you only need to weigh in once a month. If you keep going weekly (as my wife and I do) you can show off the other weeks.

    Congratulations and best of luck!
