Kilted while working the polls.

So on Tuesday, the 4th, I worked at a polling location in my county and was kilted all day. It was actually the first time I’d spent the whole day kilted. I got a few shocked looks. One guy asked if I was from Germania. (I hope he was sarcastic.) The local news even showed up at our precinct (Local 12 in Cincinnati) I was on camera but was sitting down. Can’t remember what I was doing, but apparently I looked busy.

Was a good day as a whole.

My Lodge donates our dinning room for a polling station and for the last four years I have worked them kilted. But being a full time kilter I seem to get less reaction than some report here. This year, I can only remember one comment. I guess people are just used to seeing me.

I think it's great you had the whole day kilted. I like the days I can do that too. I look forward to the day I can toss my tru's altogether.

Well, if I recall, you are pretty young (comparatively speaking), and I'd like to applaud you for your stewardship of our democratic process so long before you retire. Doing it in a kilt is just icing on the cake.
