    Kiltie sighting on UNT campus

Monday was my first day of classes at UNT. I went into the bookstore to see if there were any forest green t-shirts there I fancied for some reason. Nothing met with my approval, but I had other business while there, naturally. Anyway, while I was picking up my books, I saw a fellow in a black (with some white) t-shirt, black Utilikilt, and white hose with black flashes. I suppose I ought to have said something to him, or at least given him a thumbs-up or something. Instead, I just gawked for a second and then went on my way.

Not sure if he's an Xmarks member. I know we have at least one from Denton, but I don't think that's him.

Will you be wearing your kilt on campus this semester? I'm sure I will at some point. I always have.

If you start wearing your kilt on campus, I'm sure the two of you will meet.

Indeed, us Kilties have a duty to provide mutual support and aid. Next time . . .

    Best regards,

Er, well, right now I'm just a poseur. With school looming before me, kilts have sort of slipped my mind for the past week or two. I do have a goal to be kilted, one way or another, by the Salado games in November. As for wearing the kilt on campus, I'm of two minds about that. But there is a reason I was looking for a t-shirt in a shade that would match bottle green hose....

Give me a couple more weeks and I'll probably be out in my kilts regularly on my campus, but right now, I A) don't wish to distract and/or confuse people already, and B) have a lot going on too. I have not seen anyone else, or heard of anyone else around here being a kiltie but perhaps I'll find someone too.
