    Kilts in Galway

So I was at a pub in Galway tonight, watching the Rugby World Cup (congrats, Argentina!) when I see 3 kilties walk in. I admired their kilts (all tanks) as they swaggered by, and went back to my Guinness. About half an hour later, I see another batch of kilties stroll in! The second group spots the first group in the back of the pub and shouts "Aye, there's anoother kilted waerior!"

Never before have I wanted to be kilted so badly.

The instant comradrery between the two groups was fantastic. Granted, I couldn't understand one word of their drunken, Scottish conversation, but the way they said it was so beautiful.

So yeah, I'm hoping a friend of mine (*cough*ARLEN*cough*) can help me get tickets to a Scottish rugby match. How amazing would it be to be kilted at a Rugby World Cup match between New Zealand and Scotland?!? Actually, yeah. Answer that question. I'm asking you guys to tell me how awesome it would be. Most creative answer wins. Go.

Awesome would be to wear an All Blacks shirt with the kilt and for the Blacks to win the match!!!

    But then I'm biased!

To defend myself, I just moved to this city, only brought one kilt (my cherished Gordon Dress), and am not quite comfortable enough with my surroundings. I really only brought a kilt for when I go visit my Scottish friends, but now my buddies here and pressuring me to wear it around Galway.

I wish I had a brogue to back it up.

Sounds like a good excuse to get a Co. Galway tartan!

Well I hope your Gordon gets an airing around Galway!

But it's a strange phenomena - when you see a kiltie and you are not kilted you kick yourself!

That happened to me in Cyprus!

See what cameraderie you missed out on by not being kilted.
I'm sure these sort of kilt sightings will soon give you the confidence to join the kilted of Galway.

Come on, Greg! Get your kilt on.
How else are you going to convince all your friends to start wearing them, too?

You better be kilted for the Rugby!

I'm glad you're having such a good time in Ireland.

I've been to Galway kilted, with no problems whatsoever. Walked all around, day and night.
