    Kilts on a London Bus

Earlier in the year I purchased and brought home for Ann this tinplate tea caddy, complete with teabags, from London's Stansted Airport. It represents a caricature of the traditional red London bus. I hadn't noticed until recently that two passengers standing on the rear platform are clad in kilts, one complete with bagpipes.

Why are you buying gifts for my wife?? Oh wait... you must mean your Ann...

Cool tin, especially with the rabble being represented. How's the tea in it?

    Never heard of that brand.

Not very generous with the number of tea bags is it

Are there drums as well? I think I can make out two drums on the platform and a drummer under the saltaire.

'Fraid that is my thing - one of nature's drummers.

Hmm - are they being put off the bus for disturbing those taking tea?

Pipes and drums are not the most gentele of sounds, particularly at close quarters.

It could be that there are quite a few other kilted passengers on the bus.... but we just can't see them....
