    Latest Kilt encounters...

Almost everywhere I go, people comment on my kilts..

I went to the mall in Arlington, Va. on Saturday and my lady-friend went into a watch store to have the battery in her chronometer replaced. While waiting, everyone in the store complimented me on my khaki UK original..

The next day my band played a gig and I had at least a dozen women compliment me and/or inquire as to weather I was wearing underwear..

Yesterday I went to the local convenience store and a guy comes up and asks if I'm Irish or Scottish. I told him no... He then proceeded to tell me that he thought the kilt was really cool and he hopes they become more popular. He said that I was the second person in 5 days that he saw wearing one..

    The ultimate ice breaker?

I'm constantly amazed by how many people -- especially women -- approach me and strike up a conversation when I'm kilted. I'm not the Hunchback of Notre Dame in appearance but had I known the amazing powers of the kilt when I was in high school...well...perhaps I'd have broadened my <cough> experience with the ladies

Always glad to hear about positive experiences. They certainly appear here more often than the bad.
I must be Scottish - just look at my calves.

The kilt it seems is a magical tool. It creates an aura of its own for me to enter and dwell and pursue thoughtful intercourse with any or all whom are of wit and word to share, and are not afraid to speak to me.
