Anywhoo...
The kilt arrived on Friday. Unfortunately there was no-one home so the postman popped a card through the door to tell us he'd been... and gone... but by the time someone was available to collect it it was Monday already and so my kilt spent the weekend in the post office.
I came home yesterday (Tuesday) and thankfully none of the family had opened the package so I got that great unveiling moment all to myself. I was like a kid at Christmas I can tell you.
Very sturdy package it was and inside, the Kilt was wrapped and packed securely in white tissue paper. The care taken over the packaging meant that the kilt arrived wrinkle free and ready to wear, straight out of the box.

The outside back of the Kilt with the basting stiches in.

The inside of the Kilt. (The spot is camera glare and not on the Kilt). There are two buckles, one outside on the outer apron (right hand side) and one tucked inside that attaches to the left hand edge of the underapron (seen here). I've not seen this arrangement before. All my knife pleats buckle through the left hand side of the outer apron. I like it though as there is less hardware visable when the Kilt is worn.

As worn... From the front

Front again.

The pleats (there are 10 pleat tops with zigzags going down to the underpleats).

It's a truly lovely thing. The hand stitching is invisable and it fits me like a glove.
Seriously, I am in AWE!
