I have one of the USMC badges, and they really look good. The problem is that they are pretty heavy. They use a USMC issue hat brass and put it onto a pewter strap and buckle, and the combo ends up being pretty heavy.

But they really do look good if you can keep them from making your bonnet sag down on the side.

Concur. I have one as well and it is a bit on the heavy side for a bonnet. But it does look good and I've gotten compliments (and a few "Semper Fi") while wearing it.

I've wondered the same thing about a navy badge. It seems the Devil Dogs get their stuff on everything...lighters, buckles, coffee mugs, and it's easy to find! The leatherneck tartan is easier to find in stock than Edzel too. I was an AM2 a few years ago and recently enlisted in the Army. Can't find their stuff either, at least not as often as the USMC.

I thought about using an enlisted womans combination cap badge with some slight modifications but never got past thinking about it.

I just got the e-mail today. I may have to order it tonight. As far as being heavy, I wore a Kevlar for years, I doubt I would notice the badge.

I bought mine last year and got the Enlisted sword with the EGA on it for a kilt pin, though a bit heavy for some, NEVER for a MARINE! Semper Fi !
