    Marine Dress Blue's with Kilt

There was a thread started by Mark with Frugal Corner about cutting down a Marine Dress Blue Jacket to wear with a kilt.
Not wanting to revive the old thread I started this one. I found these pic on the Leatherneck Pipes & Drum web-site.

I like the blood stripe treatment.

It looks like the blood stripe is only on the right edge of the apron. No stripe on the left side.

I had wondered about doing up a "dress blues" kilt in the past, and wondered about how to drop in the blood stripe. Although it's not a direct correlation to the dress blue trousers, I still really like it.
