Matt's box-pleat specials
Matt had his special on box-pleats recently. I couldn't resist-saw the Isle of Man tartan and placed my order.
It should make a different and beautiful kilt.

Well done David. I snatched up the MacLauchlan. McMurdo grabbed another. That makes at least three Newsomes coming to the forum.
David did you get a time frame of when yours will b complete? I believe you are above me in the list.
The Grant.

I have two on order myself One in that regimental weight Leslie, another in weathered MacPherson. Cloth I procured, and it met Matt's approval, which I was very happy about.
I really thought I was making a pretty nice kilt until I got the first one from Matt. Then I realized that I better not quit my day job, and just buy the kilts from Matt.

You won't be disappointed.
I own a Newsome X marks and the Newsome Sackett - both works of art.
I am easily moved for sympathy for dogs, far more so than for humans, because dogs do not understand. There is no way to explain that you will return, that the vet will make it all better, that they cannot go shooting today because that is not what today is about. They cannot work out that their misery is finite and will some time end, and so their misery is magnified.

I'll be putting an order in within the month for a 4-yard knife pleat in Barclay muted, so there's another.
In Soviet Russia, kilt wears you.

I remembered that just as I was re-checking this thread.
You already know about Matt's fine handiwork.
Since Grant counts best in base nine, and that's nine Newsomes mentioned already, I'll bow out now.

I am very excited as it's my first Newsome. I've heard nothing but good things about his work and from the pics I've seen, they really are "works of art." It's a gift from the wife for Christmas and should come around the first of December I believe. Should be some nice kilted Christmas pics too!
